What is a confluencer?
The term ‘confluence’ is often used to describe where rivers meet and become one. A confluencer is an entity that brings those rivers together at their meeting point. In a social context, it’s a person or entity that creates space to bring people together for real-time experiences and conversations. While influencers earn money by endorsing brands, broadcasting content, and getting views, confluencers earn (financial and social capital) by building community.
How do I earn money as a confluencer?
You earn 10% of all purchases made by anyone who first visited Topia via your world (“First Attribution”). We’ll also send you up to 20% of purchases made by people who find human connection, have fun, and create shared experiences in your worlds (“Confluencer Attribution”).
How long do confluencer earnings last for?
First Attribution lasts for that user’s lifetime, meaning if you bring someone into Topia for the first time, you will get 10% of their purchases forever. You may also earn up to 20% of purchases made by people who have been a guest in your world over the 30 days prior to their purchase.
How can I start earning as a Confluencer?
- Simply subscribe to a Community plan. You can use a pre-made scene, purchase one from the marketplace, or create your own.
- Go to /hub/partner-stats and complete your partner profile by adding your banking and tax information. When you sign up, you’ll receive a one-time payment of commissions you earned from your worlds while you were not signed up as a partner as well.
- When people enter your world or click through your attribution, you’ll earn up to 30% of all their purchases and subscriptions.
- Anytime Topia earns money from an Organization, up to 15% of the earnings are transferred directly to confluencers like you, weighted by the number of people you’ve had at events in your world.
How do I earn money as an artist or experience creator?
Submit your world design or collection of assets to the marketplace as a scene. You will receive 70% of the purchase price. You’ll also receive an additional commission based on how popular your scene is each month. Each month, 15% of Topia’s revenue is paid to scene creators.
